LITTLE PALM ISLAND Resort
& Spa
"Little Palm Island is
an elegant, friendly oasis for seafarers traversing the Gulf and
Atlantic. A wonderful place to stop off, relax on dry land, dine on fine
wines
and exceptional cuisine, and enjoy the indulgences of a world-class
spa." - from the Little Palm Island website.
Just one look at Little Palm
Island's website and
you'll want to book your next boating vacation at this resort in the
heart of the Florida Keys. Photos of luxurious hotel
accommodations
(with island huts!) and marina slips give you a good idea of the
tropical beauty that surrounds the resort, and of the first class resort
amenities.
The marina at Little Palm
Island has slips for vessels up to 120 feet in length and with a draft
of up to six feet. The dockspace (575 feet of it) surrounds a protected
lagoon where boaters are offered 50 or 30 amp 110/220 volt electricity
service, a water allowance of one gallon per-foot-per-day, and use of
the Island's recreational facilities. These
facilities include a pool, non-motorized watercraft, and snorkeling and
fishing gear.
The resort is located on
Little Palm Island, just a short hop from Little Torch Key by
complimentary resort motor yacht. The motor yacht departs the resort's
Little Torch Key Shore Station every hour on the bottom of the hour,
from
7:30am until 10:30pm. Little Torch Key is approximately 120 miles south
of Miami, at Mile Marker 28.5, on scenic Route 1. (For directions from
the Miami Airport, the Key West Airport, or the Marathon Airport, click
here.)
The Florida Keys are one of
the world's great boating and sailing locales. Miles of reefs and
hundreds of islands and cays make up the Florida Keys, and anchorages
abound. The average daily temperature is 80º F, and the blue tropical
water beckons swimmers, snorkelers, and divers to explore shipwrecks and
both natural and artificial reefs.
Don't forget to click on the
website link above. Little Palm Island's website has wonderful Photo
Tours of the island. Just one look at these pictures and you'll be
reserving a slip for your next vacation.
