TURTLE COVE MARINA

Located 575 miles southeast of Miami, and 39 miles south of Mayaguana in the Bahamas, the Turks & Caicos Islands are a haven of blue water, coral reefs, and beautiful white sand beaches.

Map of Turks & Caicos

The most visited island in this chain is Providenciales. The Turks & Caicos' main industry is tourism, but there is a small fishing industry and a growing offshore finance industry. These islands boast one of the longest reef chains in the world, making diving one of the most popular attractions.  Sailing, snorkeling and windsurfing are also popular and bring thousands of tourists to this island chain each year.

Turtle Cove Marina is Providenciales largest and best marina. It is a Port Aerial View of Turtle Cove Marina of Entry for the Turks & Caicos, and offers over 65 slips in a protected harbor called Turtle Cove. There is a seven foot draft at low tide, and the marina can handle boats of any size and any draft up to the seven foot maximum. Hotels, restaurants, car rentals, and beaches are within walking distance, and the island's premier dive operation, Provo Turtle Divers, is located on site.

The marina offers complimentary guide service through Sellar's Cut into the protected harbor. The entrance channel is well marked by marina markers, but boats attempting entry should do so in daylight because of the coral heads within the entrance.Turtle Cove

There are a number of fishing tournaments held throughout the year at Turtle Cove Marina. The Turks & Caicos Classic is held in June (June 16-20, 2000), and the Caicos Cup is held in July (July 13-18, 2000). Prizes are awarded for the largest marlin, most marlin released, and the largest tuna, dolphin and wahoo.

The Turtle Cove Inn is located on site at the marina and offers two restaurants, a fresh water pool, a liquor store, and air conditioned rooms. Also on site is Scooter Bob's Rentals where you can rent a scooter, jeep or bicycle to explore the island.

Turtle Cove Marina offers all the boater could want in marina services: a well run marina with a protected harbor, beach access, restaurants and a Dock at Turtle Cove Marinahotel, water sports, fishing, and more. Amenities include: dockside electricity, water and cable TV; a fuel dock; transient docking; a boat launch; showers and laundry service; and ice. If your sailing or boating vacation is in the Turks & Caicos islands, plan to stay at Turtle Cove Marina.
